Terms of Service
Last updated 25 June 2026
01 Agreement
These terms are between you and Tweed (“we”, “us”), an independent personal-finance app currently in invite-only beta, and govern your use of the Tweed app and website. By creating an account or using Tweed, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
02 Beta service
Tweed is currently in invite-only beta. That means the service is still being built: features may change, break, or be removed, and there may be interruptions. We provide the beta “as is” and recommend you keep your own copies of any important financial records.
03 Your account
- You must be at least 18 and provide accurate registration details.
- You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
- One person per account unless a feature explicitly supports more.
- Tell us promptly at hello@tweed.money if you suspect unauthorised access.
04 Not financial advice
Tweed helps you record, understand and plan your own money. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and nothing in the app — including budgets, forecasts, net-worth projections, the Lab’s calculators, and any AI-generated insights or suggestions — is a personal recommendation or advice. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Figures, forecasts and projections are estimates based on the data you provide and general assumptions. They are illustrative only, are not guarantees of any outcome, and may be wrong. Before making any financial decision you should do your own research and, where appropriate, consult a suitably qualified and regulated professional. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
05 Your data & accuracy
You keep ownership of the financial data you put into Tweed. You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you import or enter, and for reviewing how transactions are categorised — automatic categorisation and reconciliation are aids, not a substitute for your own checking. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process your data to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
06 Acceptable use
- Don’t use Tweed unlawfully, or to upload data you have no right to use.
- Don’t attempt to breach security, access other accounts, or disrupt the service.
- Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or scrape the service except as the law allows.
07 Plans & payment
Tweed is free to use while in beta. We expect to introduce paid plans in future: a Free tier and a paid Pro tier that adds the AI features. Any paid subscription will be billed in advance through our payment processor on the cycle shown at checkout, will renew until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time to stop future charges. Prices and plan details will be confirmed before any charge is ever made.
08 Availability & warranties
We work hard to keep Tweed running and accurate, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and we exclude implied warranties.
09 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tweed is not liable for any financial loss, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, or from any financial decision you make. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10 Termination
You can stop using Tweed and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or to protect the service. You can export your data before you leave.
11 Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; if changes are material we’ll update the date above and notify you where appropriate. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: hello@tweed.money.
